Healing from a Breakup

Are you hurting from a breakup? Do you want to take steps to enhance your healing? Do you want to make sure you can put this breakup in the rear-view mirror and create a life you can look forward to? Join this course to learn how to transform your grief into learning.

With its mind-body emphasis, the course provides a structure for growing through the healing process, supported by energy psychology, journaling, and meditation exercises. Imagine getting to the place where you know this breakup was the best thing that ever happened to you.

The journey ahead

As you move through the coming days, weeks, and months, it is important to heal the wounds from this relationship so you can create a life you can be excited about. That healing takes more than time. It takes attention, intention, and courage to move through the pain. Only good can come from taking the time and making the effort to heal.

If you proceed with care, your next relationship will be healthier than the one you just lost. Part of that “care” in healing from a breakup is in doing your own personal work to make sure you learn the important lesson and heal the underlying wounds so that you don’t create the same patterns again. This course can help. ?

Structure of this course

This course relies on EFT, or “tapping,” as it is often called. EFT is a self-help and a therapeutic technique that involves tapping on acupressure points while repeating the problem at hand, in order to release the negative emotion associated with it. We start with a statement of the problem, and add the affirmation “I deeply and completely accept myself.” After that, we just focus on the problem while tapping on the series of acupressure points. You can see me demonstrating it here.

This may sound strange to the average Western reader, as it draws on an Eastern paradigm. However, there is a lot of research about the effectiveness of tapping. Studies have found it helps with depression, anxiety, wellbeing among students, weight loss, trauma and PTSD, and other issues. You can see more about EFT and related research here.
