A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah Murphy — a trauma-informed therapist offering mindfulness-based, holistic counseling for people living with cancer, chronic illness, or emotional overwhelm. I also work with people who are simply ready for something to shift — a life transition, a search for direction, a craving for deeper purpose. Whatever brought you here, we’ll work at your pace, and I’ll meet you with respect, curiosity, and tools that actually fit what you need.
My approach combines mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and whole-person support. I understand how deeply emotion and body are linked, and how much it matters to feel truly seen. Above all, I focus on helping you reconnect with your own inner strength — not mine, yours. It’s already there.
My Own Story
I’ve lived a life that’s asked me to rebuild more than once: raising three sons largely on my own through real financial stress, relocating across countries for love and a fresh start, and finding my footing again more than once when the ground shifted under me. I don’t share this to make the conversation about me — I share it because I believe it matters that the person walking with you through hard change has done some of that walking herself.
In addition to my private practice, I’m also a counseling provider with Unite for HER, a nonprofit supporting people with breast and ovarian cancer through integrative care.

Who I Work With
I work with adults navigating hard things — who want more than just coping. You might be:
- Living with cancer or chronic illness, needing space to process the emotional side of your diagnosis
- Feeling stuck in a cycle of stress, grief, or self-doubt
- In the midst of a life transition — a new diagnosis, a move, a shift in identity or purpose
- Looking for a therapist who understands the mind-body connection and the deeper work of healing
- Wanting to reconnect with your inner strength, clarity, or calm
Many of my clients are highly sensitive, intuitive, or thoughtful people who’ve felt misunderstood in more clinical settings. If that resonates, you’re not alone — and you’re in the right place.
